Hello, my lovelies,
First off, happy new year! It's great that 2020 is finally done and gone. As a way to kickstart 2021 and #yearofmyvoice, I'm excited to announce my new project for this year. Introducing: I Got Nothing, a podcast for exhausted writers. This is a project I've been wanting to do for over a year and now I finally have the time and energy to do it. Over the next few weeks I'll be sharing more details over on my Patreon page. Certain tiers will also be able to access the podcast episodes before the public. Pretty exciting right?? I think so! Well that was rough now wasn't it?
I don't think 2020 turned out how anyone expected or wanted it to. I know I wasn't the only one struggling through this pandemic and every other dumpster fire thing that happened. My writing and mental health definitely took a hit but I'm determined to keep pushing forward and have a positive outlook on 2021. For one, I've adopted a new mantra for the new year: #yearofmyvoice Since 2021 will be the first year I'll officially be exclusively writing for work, it's my goal to post more updates here and on my Patreon. Head on over there and show your support! The lowest tier is $1! I wish you all a happy and healthy new year. Stay safe, lovelies! The last few months have been difficult. Not just because of the obviously complete upheaval of everything in the world, but also health wise. Thankfully, I'm feeling much better and my inspiration has returned!
I'm finally working on my own novel again, a crime/romance novel that I've been thinking about for a long time. I can't wait to share with you all soon! Not literally but it certainly feels like it did, doesn't it?
Needles to say, my plans for early 2020 basically went out the window. I hope all of you are staying safe and healthy. Life has turned upside down for everyone and while there is still much confusion and uncertainly, I wish you all happiness and good health. My family and I are trucking along. Writing has taken a backseat to mental health and carrying for my son but I am slowly getting back into the swing of things. I wanted to pop in and let you all know that I'm well and doing what everyone else is doing; taking it one day at a time. With Love, - Leani |
