Jan 2026 Update
Hello, lovelies!
January was less productive than I would have liked. Unfortunately, our family all came down with the terrible flu that’s been going around. It took the better part of two weeks to shake it. Thankfully, we have and I’m ready to roll.
Season 4 of I Got Nothing, a podcast for exhausted writers, is now complete. It was an honor to be able to sit down with so many indie authors and share our writing journey. It made me realize how powerful writing can be. Almost everyone I spoke with talked about the lure of writing and how, even after years of not picking up a pen, they still found themselves called back to it. Writing is such a powerful way to connect with not only other people but yourself. I’m convinced more than ever that writing is a calling. You can try to ignore it, but eventually the stories will take over.
There will be a Season 5 premiering later this year. If you’re an indie author who is interested in joining me for IGN, reach out so that we can connect!
Production begins in March and will be evolving once again. Not only will I be interviewing more wonderful authors, but there will be exclusive episodes and content for Patreon and blog subscribers! That’s right, this blog will have a new subscription feature, allowing you to read exclusive posts and listen to these special episodes. Both will center around writing and podcast advice, an expansion of the earlier seasons of IGN. Interview episodes will continue to be free for the all.
To coincide with the change, my Patreon has been completely revamped to feature two tiers which will match the subscriptions for this blog. Pricing will be the same across platforms so you’re free to support on whichever site you’re comfortable using. More details to come next month.
Additionally, Battle Cry now has merch! This has been something that I’ve wanted to do since it premiered and I’m so excited it’s now live. There are t-shirts with three different colors and a poster, both of which can be purchased in the shop. Be sure to share with me on social media when you get them because I would love to see it!
