April 2024 Update

March was a month of recovery as my family and I were hit with illness. I am thankful to finally be on the mend, though it’s going to take a while for me to feel 100%. Regardless, work has been going strong!

We’re back in the recording studio for Battle Cry with two more actors nearing the end of their lines. Each time we read through the final two episodes, my excitement grows. I have the honor of watching these characters’ journeys from the beginning of the season to the end as I work with the actors. I don’t want to give away spoilers, but I will say it’s going to be great. I can feel it in my bones.

Phoenix’s Call has gone through a bit of an overhaul editing-wise as I’ve changed the entire setting of the series. This meant I had to go back to what was written and make many changes before moving on to a new chapter. Right now it stands at just over 96k words and 220 pages! This is shaping up to be one of the longest books I’ve written and the first with more than two point-of-view characters!

If you didn’t see my last post, my first major author event is this weekend. On Saturday, April 13, 2024, I’ll be joining ten other authors for the Puerto Rican Authors from Connecticut Meet & Greet. It’ll be at the Hartford Public Library downtown branch from 12 pm - 2 pm. If you’re in the area, come down and say hi! We’ll be selling our books and doing a Q&A panel.

I hope to see you there!
